Successful swim meets require many parent volunteers. In order for your child to swim in a meet, you must commit to have 1 adult volunteer for 1 shift (which is half the meet). No training is necessary and you will still be able to watch your child race. The UC Sharks Handbook outlines the duties of each job in more detail or you can ask the Volunteer Coordinators more about the roles. When you register your child to swim in a meet, you will sign up for your volunteer slot for that meet. It's easy, fun and your children will remember that you were part of their swim team experience. The UC Sharks parents have always been an especially engaged community - thank you in advance for your commitment and enthusiasm!
